Here at ACCM, we believe in the value of community.

As Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!”

ACCM strives to encourage and incorporate community in the following ways:

Retreats take place several times a year, typically during the summer and spring months. These events are designed to provide a time and space for collaboration, sharing, and encouragement.

Retreats also may serve as workshop times where students and/or advisors are better equipped to create material that is glorifying to God.

ACCM endeavors to create community among members by providing accessible presence.

Members are given access to a listserve, which has been used to answer immediate questions and provide instant feedback to advisors all over the United States.

Above all, ACCM members will always have the someone to talk to or learn from. Being the only advisor to a media organization can be isolating. but with ACCM it doesn’t have to be.

In order to best serve advisors and other similar organizations, ACCM strives to host gatherings for members while also having representation at many relevant conferences.

Events and gatherings with ACCM presence include National OCP/CMA Conferences, Evangelical Press Conferences, Regional ACP Conferences, and more.
